Hello everybody! Well, I am now two weeks into my sociology class. It started out boring but it is starting to pick up. The summer is wonderful...it is interesting how I lookforward to it during the winter and then once it is here I look forward to the Fall. I can hardly wait for the somewhat crip air and to wear sweaters and see changing leaves. Although, the leaves that change out here are nothing like the leaves in Chicago. I am sure that Brian and Angie are going to have a gorgeous fall out in Vermont. I have to admit that I am a bit jealous. Some friends of Brian and mine are getting married this October out in Chicago so hopefully we can go and then I can get a glimpse of a real Fall.
Brian and I have been slaving away in our backyard to get some plants, flowers and trees planted. We also laid some of that black felt stuff so that the amount of weeding is less. We got some rock and stuff called pebble path that we put over the black felt weed stuff. It makes it look more clean, plus, we had bark before and it would blow all around and just create a mess for me to clean up. Our house is at an angle on the street so whenever it gets windy it seems that we collect all the garbage and bark from the neighborhood. Oh well though, I would not change anything.
Brian and I have been having a tough time with Sean sleeping through the night. He was sleeping 9-12 hours for awhile and was sleeping fine through the night but then teething started and growing spurts and now he will only go 6-8 hours and then he wants to eat. The tough thing though is that he wakes up several times wanting his pacifier and then if he sees me he thinks that he wants to eat! So, lately I have been sending Brian in there, which helps to curb the amount of time that Sean is up but then Brian is waking up 2-3 times a night. This past Sun, Mon, Tue, we decided to buckle down and if need be let him cry it out. That was a lot of fun (a bit of sarcasm there). He cried for an hour (with me holding him) because he wanted to feed yet I knew he wasnt hungry. He is so good about going down for his naps and for bedtime. He rarely cries and is so good during the day it is tough for me to be harder on him during nighttime. I know that a good nights sleep is important for him though. If anyone has any tips I would appreciate them :)
Well, I need to get back to work. Brian and I want to have a get together at the house sooner than later so I will have to keep everybody posted. I was thinking sometime in August, when my classes are done and I have a break before my fall class starts. Lots of love to everyone.
